| Abstract: | In this paper, the structural properties of new HSS heavy cut twist drills are simply explained. Several experiments have been done to investigate the axial thrust force,the cutting moment of torque,the machining efficiency, the precision and the surface roughness of the machined hole and the effect of breaking chip when the new HSS heavy cut twist drills are used. Experimental results obtained are compared with those of the ordinary twist drill, which shows that with its good cutting performances, this new HSS heavy cut twist drill is much better than the ordinary twist drill. |
