摘    要:首次建立了波长转换器用于通信系统中的误码率特性分析的理论模型 ,得出了计算误码率的解析表达式 ,定性分析了波长转换器的参数对误码率特性的影响 .结果表明 ,对于一定的放大器结构参数 ,存在最佳的泵浦功率、探测功率和波长转换带宽 .误码率特性的研究对波长转换器的参数优化有指导作用

Abstract:Theoretical model for bit error rate performance analysis of XGM Wavelength converter used in a communication system bosed on semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is developed. Carrier consumption due to Amplified Spontaneous Emission is the first time considered in solving carrier rate equation. It is shown from numerical calculation for wavelength conversion in 10Gbit/s bitrates, 1550nm window that bit error performance is simultaneous affected by extinction ratio, conversion efficiency and noise. For special structure parameters of SOA, there exist optimal probe power, average pump power and wavelength conversion span for wavelength conversion. So that must be the best way to optimize parameters of wavelength converters by analyzing bit error performance.
