| Abstract: | The design of an instrument for Fourier transform ac impedance measurementis reported. The working frequency range of the instrument is from 0.0001 Hz to 1kHz. The cutoff frequency of low-pass filter and the gain of current-to-voltage con-verter can be automatically switched during the measurement without interventionof the operator. The measured data can be displayed or plotted in various ways toease the data interpretation. The solution resistance and the double layer capacitancecan be corrected. The strategies for generation of the perturbation signal and elimi-nation of the aliasing effect are discussed. The measurement results for a dummycell and a real electrochemical system are also given. |
