| Abstract: | With the gradual popularity of education and teaching reforms, education appraisal has become more and more important in the quality-oriented education in China. Hence the function of developmental appraisal has become increasingly obvious and significant. The paper gives a brief introduction to the general theories of educational appraisal and developmental appraisal, analyzes their current situation of development, probes into the characteristics, functions and ways to carry out appraisal, and points out the potential problems of the application of the devel- opmental appraisal in teaching. |
