乌鳢Ophicephalus argus Cantor和月鳢Channa asiatica(Linnaeus)骨骼系统的比较研究

本文比较了乌鳢和月鳢的骨骼特征。通过对两种标本的X射线摄影研究,乌鳢具有发育完好的腰带与腹鳍,而月鳢既无腰带也无腹鳍的痕迹,在脊柱和肋骨的形态及数目上也明显不同。对头骨和肩带的整体以及分离骨片所作的解剖观察表明,无论在外形上,犬牙分布上以及许多分离骨片的形态上,都有重要的差异。鳢类各个种通常都是根据鳞片、鳍条以及斑纹等特征来分类的,属的划分主要是根据腹鳍的有无。究竟为两属或为一属,学者意见尚不一致。通过对骨骼系统的研究,乌鳢和月鳢具有许多重要的差异,把它们作为一个属是否合适,值得商榷。

COMPARATIVE STUDY ON THE SKELETAL SYSTEM OF THE OPHICEPHALUS ARGUS CANTOR AND CHANNA ASIATICA(LINNAEUS)(FAMILY CHANNIDAE)

Day and Bhimachar studied the skeletal system of Ophicephalus striatus Bloch.Gregory,Berg,Matsubara and other ichthyoligists proposed their views on the classification of Ophicephalidae according to the characters of the skeleton.But further study has not been made on its skeletal system of O.argus and C.asiatica which are common in China.Myers(1931) and other authors regarded that the genus Ophicephalus was identified with Channa.But in some papers Ophicephalus and Channa are considered to be of different genera.By X-ray photographs of the whole specimen,we discovered that O.argus has well-developed pelvic girdle and pelvic fins,while there is no sign of these elements in Channa asiatica.The features and number of their vertebra and ribs vary obviously.By observation of the whole skull and isolatedbones apparent differences can be seen in the external features,the distribution of the canine teeth,as well as the features of a series of isolated bones. Through the study of the skeletal system along with other morph- ological haracters,there are many important differences between Ophicephalus and Channa.It will be worthwhile to discuss wether it is suitable to regard them as the same genus.
