| 摘 要： | 1876年,中国第一条营业的铁路——淞沪铁路竣工通车,中国人第一次感受到了近代交通的便捷。然而,在此后二十多年时间里,铁路事业在国人反对声中举步维艰。直到甲午战败,要求改革的呼声越来越高,戊戌变法在这种背景下爆发,虽然变法很快失败,但包括铁路修建在内的许多事业却悄然兴起,萍乡铁路就是在这种背景下开始修建。

| Abstract: | In 1876,the first railway,Songhu Railway was constructed. The Chinese got comfort from the convenient traffic. Then,with the against of Chinese people the construction of railway progressed very slow in the following two decades. Until the defeat in Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895),reform was required by more and more people. Wu Hsu Reform happened but failed quickly. However,many enterprises including railway rose quietly,Pingxiang railway was constructed in such background. |
