摘    要:地球的三维可视化是三维GIS研究领域的一个热点,本文给出了基于全球DEM数据的地球三维可视化的实现方法,在此基础上,本文分别讨论了适合于与球形物体进行交互式操作的基本方法。采用四元数的方法解决地球的任意旋转问题;采用一种弦弧映射的近似方法实现在球面上任意两点间的漫游 ;采用OpenGL提供的特殊函数,结合数据库技术实现三维图形与物体属性之间的双向查询。实践表明,这些方法能够获得较好的视觉效果,并可在一定精度范围内对三维地球进行一般的交互性操作。

Abstract:Three-dimension visualization of the earth is a hot point in 3D GIS research field. This paper presents the implement of the three-dimension visualization of the earth based on global DEM data and discusses the methods of interactive operation suit for sphere objects. It makes the earth rotating randomly with the method of quaternion and brings forward a method named bowstring-arc mapping, which is used to make viewpoint roam on the earth surface at random. This article also gives the query method between the attributes and entities on the base of the peculiar OpenGL functions and the Database technology. At last, it presents the pictures of the three-dimension earth based on DEM data which are implemented by the method proposed in this paper.
