| Abstract: | After analyzing the technical background and communication requirements for Computer Aided Engineering Networks (CAE network), this paper gives an overview of two major proprietary architectures of CAD networks as case study. The technology for the systems co-existence and openness in the CAE networking is then presented in detail. The trend from co-existence network towards an integrated open network is also discussed. |
