| 摘 要： | 从空间表达角度看，现代汉语方位词“上”、“下”的基本意义是表示位置。根据空间参照物出现与否，“上”、“下”可分为表示显性位置和隐性位置两种。由于参照物形状及主观视点的差异，“上”、“下”在表示位置时的意义有很大的区剐。对这些意义差剐的分析可以使我们对“上”、“下”这对高频方位词有更深的理解，同时也为进一步探讨这对词的其他意义提供了必要的前提。

| Abstract: | ＂shang＂and＂xia＂ ,the words of orientation in Contemporary Chinese, basically refer to locality in perspective of space. They fall into two sorts： the overt and the hidden in pertaining to locality with reference to their space referents＇ appearance. Owing to differences in the shape of the referents and the speaker＇s subjective choice, they are quite different in meaning in referring to locality. possible analysis of the difference in meaning will make us have a better understanding of the pair of the frequently - used words. |
