| Abstract: | With the breakout of the Opium Wars,actuated by patriotism,both Wei Yuan and Gong Zi-zhen did their utmost to extol the great achievements in the heyday when Emperor Qianlong,Yongzheng and Kangxi ruled the Qing Dynasty.And at the same time,both Gong Zizhen and Wei Yuan reexamined it with critical perspective. |
