摘    要:河与溪是河溪连续体的不同部分,需要有一个简明实用的区别方法,用Acr/info和AcrView建立430km2区域内河溪GIS,研究了西双版纳河溪等级体系(5级),1-2级为溪,3-5级为河,溪流比降大,支流少,水道窄,两岸植被互相交接遮盖水道,形成明显的遮荫性和隐蔽性小环境,对居民活动不产生隔离作用,而河流则有相反的特点,研究区内常流河溪630km,溪占91%,河仅占9%。

Abstract:HE(rivers)and XI(small streams)mean in Chinese different parts of a riparian continuum.A five grade hierarchy was established to distinguish HE from XI based on the Geographical Information System supported by Acr/info and AcrView software within an area of 430?km 2 in Xishuangbanna,SW China.Of the hierarchy,grade 1 and grade 2 were considered XI which,in comparison to HE (grade 3,4 and 5),was characterized by the larger descent ratio,fewer tributaries,narrower channels,higher connection of riparian vegetation on both sides,and more convenience for human activities.Of the 630 ? rivers and small streams in length within the study area,91% was XI and 9% was HE.
