公共英语和ESP教学的现状、问题与对策

目前大学英语教学与中学的英语教育存在着或多或少内容上的重复，专门用途英语（ESP）的开设不能完全满足学生和工作的需求。为了避免无效的重复，更为了满足不同层次学生“学有所用”的需求，本文提出了结合学生的语言基础和职业兴趣，对公共英语教学阶段的课时、课程侧重进行调整的设想，让学生有机会分步骤、分阶段地接触到不同的ESP课程，并就该设想的实现的条件和对策进行了探讨。

College English and ESP for Non-English Majors

The current College English and high school English overlaps in some parts and ESP(English for Special Purposes)courses fail to well satisfy students' needs for their future work.The paper proposes that part of the time and efforts of College English teaching be spared for ESP courses to avoid repetitive teaching and to meet diversified requirement from students with different language competence and career interests,The available conditions and possible approaches are discussed in the paper with the aim to offer students ESP courses procedurally from an earlier stage.
