Abstract:The complete period Fourier AC sampling algorithm is now widely used. Theoretically, it is of very high accuracy. As it is, however, it is affected by the computer timing error and the AC signal frequency drift in practice. An improved algorithm developed by the authors is proposed which is capable of compensating for the timing error and the signal frequency drift detected with a measuring circuit. This algorithm is found to be more accurate with little increase in the calculating workload.
