| Abstract: | Summary Chloroquine, quinacrine and mefloquine bind toPlasmodium berghei hemozoin, hemin, heme, protoporphyrin IX and protease digested methemoglobin. This binding may be the basis for drug accumulation and action in the parasite.Acknowledgments.
