论美国化学的德国传统

本文通过对翔实的化学史料分析，认为，在美国化学发展过程中，有一种标志美国化学进入成长时间的德国传统，它是美国化学在合理、有机引进发达的德国化学过程中，形成的一种化学思想内核，十分有利于美国化学的发展。

A STUDY ON THE GERMAN TRADITION OF CHEMISTRY IN USA

On the ground of analyzing relatively detailed materials from American history of chemistry, it is found that there actually exists a German tradition of chemistry representing the formative period of American chemistry, which is an inner corn of chemical ideas formed in the course of American chemistry introducing then the advanced German chemistry. According to its different significances, the German tradition can be classified into two categories:the early days German tradition that forms the applied chemistry in USA, rooting upon the Liebigian chemical research school, and the late days German tradition that was formed over the Whlerian chemical thoughts, signing the initial of chemical research atmosphere in USA.
