| 摘 要： | 自主学习能力培养是大学英语教学目标之一，而自主学习能力实质上就是自我监控能力，其发展主要体现在元认知水平的提高。将元认知策略融入教学各个环节并反复实践的实验过程和就学生对元认知策略培训效果所作的调查和分析，进一步证实：元认知能力的提高有助于改善学生学习成绩和提升学生自主学习能力。

| Abstract: | Learner autonomy cultivation is one of the goals of College English teaching and learner autonomy is actually self-monitoring ability. Its development embodies the improvement of metacognition. The paper reports a metacognitive strategies training program and its practical effects,which further proves metacognition helps enhance students＇ achievements and autonomy. |
