科技术语藏文翻译的理论与实践

本文系统地提出了解决科技藏语翻译严重不规范问题的方案;科技名词的译名总原则是挖创借相结合,以借为主,意译和音译相结合,借音以国际通用名称为基础,以字母对应关系来译命,使其符合科学性、通用性和简洁性的要求;科技语句的藏文翻译在“信、达、雅”的基础上,强调突出科技语言的特点和科技读写习惯。

THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF SCIENTIFIC TERMS TIBETAN TRANSLATION

This paper systematically in puts forward a solution to the problems in trans- lating scientific terms into Tibetan The general principle of the translation is by use of combination of excavation creation and loan,with loan as a key means; and also by use of combination of meaning and sound translation,the latter,the main.The sound translation is based upon the General lnternational Names while names' translation is according to the albets' correspondence.All discovered ab- ove meet the scientific common and concise requirements.The Tibetan translatio -n of scientific phrases and sentences closely sticks to faith,expression,and el -egation,which throws emphasis upon projecting out scientific phonetics,and accords with habit of scientific reading and writing.
