Abstract:To study the influence of receiver orientation and receiver on visible light communication, a multiple input multiple output bore-based indoor visible light communication (VLC) system is designed. Firstly, according to the relationship between transmitter and receiver, the multiple-bore receiver is presented to improve the condition of the channel matrix, which is comprised of 8 receiving elements, and each receiving element consists of a bare photo-detector and an aperture above it, The aim is to provide a wide field of view and excellent angle diversity by using a miniaturized planar structure. Then, based on the receiver, using asymmetrically clipped optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(ACO-OFDM) to message transmission, a complete multiple input multiple output VLC system is proposed, so as to achieve reliable transport of data streams. Four LEDs are adopted in the simulation experiment. The test data show that, compared with the current excellent receiver designs, bit error rate of the proposed design is lower in different locations, and multiple-stream interference is very low, and the channel gain is greater.
