| 摘 要： | 外来的军事压力和屡战屡败的屈辱，导致近代中国社会重心的倾斜，中国步入了以军事近代化为先导的社会转型之路。在这种社会转型中，军队作为社会系统不可分割的重要组成部分，必然由传统走向近代，实现自身的近代化。在社会转型背景下的晚清军队近代化也有其自身的显著特点和重要影响。
