| Abstract: | After a brief interpretation of the technical requirements about array detectorsfor large object X or gamma radiography and an introduction of their developmentsituation around the world, this article presents the design, structure, technology andmain characteristics of the super high gas -- pressurized array ion -- chambers. Theapplication of this kind of array detectors in the container inspecting system has beenmentioned. A photograph of the X -- ray scan image is shown at the end of this paper. |
