由光二极管读出的CsI(Tl)闪烁探测器对高能轻荷电粒子的能量响应

利用50MeV/u ~(12)C束轰击Au靶产生的高能P,d,t,~3He和α粒子研究了由光二极管读出的CsI(T1)闪烁探测器的能量响应。实验结果表明:对于~3He和α粒子,在能量小于100MeV区域,该探测器具有近似线性的能量响应,对于P,非线性能量响应最为严重。仅在低于10MeV能区,还具有线性的能量响应,随着粒子能量增高,非线性愈加严重。对于d和t,探测器有与P相类似的能量响应,只是近似线性的能区扩展至稍为更高的能量。

The Energy Response of A CsI(TI) Scintillation Detector with Photodiode Readout to Energetic Light Charged Particles

Using the photodiode readout technique, the energy response of CsI(Tl) scintilla- tion detector to the energetic p, d, t, 3He and alpha particles, which were produced in the reaction of 50A MeV 12C on 197Au target, has been studied. The results show that the response to 3He and alpha particles with kinetic energy lower than 100MeV is almost linear, while an important nonlinearity is presented for the protons. This nonl-inearity increases with the proton energy and can only be neglected for energies lower than 10MeV. For d and t particles, the response function is similar to that of the protons, except that the approximate linear region extents to higher energy range.
