| Abstract: | Using Newton's method,we study the algorithm for computing the maximum eigenvalue and the corresponding positive eigenvectors of nonnegative irreducible matrices.Some improvement is made on the method due to Alfred Brauer for computing the maximum eigenvalue of irreducible nonnegative matrices. |
