Similarities and differences in the enrollment system of Chinese and Japanese high education institutions in the light of fairness of university entrance opportunity

The enrollment system of Chinese and Japanese high education institutions are influenced by the Confucian culture and the imperial civil examination system. The entrance examination competition is fierce, which produces great influence on the middle school education. But the entrance examination of the two countries is different in students＇right to be informed, examination form, enrollment form and government＇s interference degree. By contrast, the opportunity for the Japanese students to enter university is fairer, which has enlightening significance for the reform and development of the Chinese enrollment system.
