| Abstract: | The effects of large buildings, such as the nuclear power plant, on seismic ground motion of viseo-elastic media with complicated topography and geological conditions are studied. The boundary integral equation is established by using Green's functions in infinite elastic medium in frequency domain. The discretization is performed by using boundary element method. The interaction between soil and structure is considered through the relationship between displacement and force at the base of the structure which is solved together with the discrete equations for the media. The solution in visco-elastic medium is obtained by using the elasticviscoelastic correspondence principle. |
