"分形理论初步"的教学切入点

摘    要:分形理论是非线性科学的三大理论前沿之一。分形作为刻画自然界中大量存在的不规则、不光滑几何形体的有力工具而引入大学课堂。“分形理论初步”是为数学专业开设的一门专业选修课程,由于其较高的理论深度,常常使得学生对这门课程的理论学习敬而远之。教学中可以将分形理论创建的历史必然性、分形的典型特征、分形美的欣赏、分形维数的引入作为切入点,调动学生的学习积极性,激发他们的学习兴趣。

Abstract:Fractal is one of the three main frontiers of nonlinear sciences.Fractal plays an important role in describing irregular and non-smooth geometrical figures in nature,so it was chosen in collegial classrooms."Elementary theory on fractal" is an optional course of the specialty for mathematics.The course requires a profound foundation,so students are afraid of learning it.We can choose four aspects,the historical necessity of the birth of fractal,the typical characteristics of fractal,the appreciation of the beauty of fractal and the introduction of fractal dimensions,as a teaching access to arouse the students' interest and prompt students towards more enthusiastic learning.
