Experimental investigation on low speed torque characteristics of vehicle turbocharged diesel engine

Abstract:Two variable geometry turbocharger measures are taken in the match tests of a diesel engine for improving the low speed performance of vehicle turbocharged diesel engine. The experimental results show that the maximum engine torque is increased by 12.9% and the performance of the diesel engine is also improved obviously by changing the cross sectional area of the nozzleless volute at low engine's speed.
