Abstract:A new method to adjust the resistivity of BaTiO3 ceramic PTCR in a lower temperature is proposed. It is shown that the resistivity of ceramic can be reduced controllably by annealiug the sample in hydrogen atmosphere. The stability of resistivity in a long time and the change of the electrical properties of ceramics after the annealing are studied. It is concluded that the electrical properties of ceramic annealed in hydrogen atmosphere to a certain degree can be improved obviously. The mechanism of the decrease of the resistivity is discussed based on the change of the potential barrier of grain-boundary.
