Abstract:ome different carbon compounds can be used for expression of hydroge-nase activity by Rhizobium arachis strain L_(8-3). Hydrogenase activity increased obviously ascarbon source concentration decreased.A modified medium on which R. arachis expressedhigh hydrogen/ase activity was obtained when glucose(200 mg/L )was used to take theplace of three carbon source(sucrose,L-arabinose and sodium gluconate)of HUM.
