| Abstract: | Tess of the D'Urbervilles is a very influential work of Hardy.Beginning with a brief introduction to the novel,the thesis tries to analyze the different reasons for Tess's rebellion.Then,it concentrates on discussing Tess's rebellion in four aspects,thus,revealing that Tess is actually a character with the spirit of rebellion all through her life and further illustrating the injustice for female in Victorian England. |
