从语篇衔接和连贯看《荷塘月色》的两个英译本

衔接和连贯是语篇的两个重要的特征,翻译正是建立在语篇而不是字、词上,因此翻译也需要具备这两种特征。从语篇的衔接和连贯的角度对朱纯深和杨宪益夫妇翻译的《荷塘月色》进行对比研究,从这两方面对译文进行对比,从而发现英汉两种语言因属于不同语言体系,而必须使用不同的方式来实现衔接和连贯。

Comparison of two English versions of Moonlight over the Lotus Pond from the perspective of textual cohesion and coherence

Cohesion and coherence are two important textual characteristics.Translation is based on text instead of words,therefore it needs to have these two characteristics.This paper compares two English versions of Moonlight over the Lotus Pond,made respectively by Zhu Chunshen and Yang Xianyi Gladys,from the perspective of textual cohesion and coherence,concluding that cohesion and coherence are realized in different ways owing to the different language system of Chinese and English.
