| Abstract: | Evolutionary biology has been dominated by what is now wildly known as the neodarwinian, or synthetic theory of evolution. It is an extremely successful and productive blend of the classic Darwinism with Weismannian selectionism andMendelian genetics, enriched by subsequent advance in a host of biological disciplines-from systematics and eclolgy tomolecular genetics and biochemistry. Synthetic theory provides us with basic knowledge to understand the evolution oflife. There are many controversy, however, about the theory. Recently, some evolutionists argue about evolution inmany of its aspects. |
