| Abstract: | This paper introduces a simple and direct method for the numerical solution to the characteristic equation in a step Index multi-mode optical fiber. The 281-lime-program takes up internal memory 8716 bytes and it 152 seconds computer execution time. The result is show to be reasonable and accurate. |
