| Abstract: | In the paper we mainly study the nilpotency of the syntactic monoid of a language. A necessary and sufficient condition for the syntactic monoid of a language to be nilpotent is given and consequently the structure of languages whose syntactic monoid are nilpotent is completely determined. |
