| Abstract: | The contraction of diffusion semigroup with respect to Lipschitz constant is studied by using coupling. The results are more general than the corresponding theorem proved by Herbst and Pitt. Moreover, the resulting estimate of contraction constant improves the previous one for some simple cases. |
