| Abstract: | During the period from the mid-1700s to 1820s, France was univerally considered as the centre of scientific activities of the world. Looking at this, from a historical point of view, the formation of the Centre owed a great deal to the bour-geois revolution in France, and also owed to napoleon, the man of the hour. This paper talks about how Napoleon showedis concern over the development of natural science, and why he was so deeply interested in sciences. |
