| Abstract: | In the paper, the influence line equation for continuous beams has been derived by means of virtual work principle for deformable bodies. It can be used to calculate the internal forces and displacements of the continuous beams on the computer. This is an attempt to combine the traditional theory of structural mechanics with the new CADmethod. |
