Abstract: | preliminary studies on two kinds of aeolian dust accumulation in South China show that there are abrupt changes of magnetic susceptibility between the upper and lower parts of the typical profiles. This stratigraphic boundary may indict change in East Asian monsoon circulation pattern, which is induced by the significant uplift of the Tibetan Plateau in 0.15 myr or so. |
