| Abstract: | The problem of reference is one of the basic problems in language philosophy. It has been for a long time since the philosophers of the western countries studied the reference problem of proper names and general names. In the first part, the article introduces all kinds of different opinions on the theory of reference. In the second part, it formulates unique ideas of different linguistic philosophers in detail. And in the last part, it discusses the difficulties all these theories meet in the process applied. |
