古代章回体长篇小说的形成与演变

章回体是中国古代长篇小说所采用的主要形式。其形成与发展演变大致经历了五个阶段:唐宋元三代是章回体长篇小说的孕育时期;元末明初是章回体长篇小说的形成时期;明中后期是章回体长篇小说的发展时期;清初至清中叶是章回体长篇小说的高峰时期;鸦片战争前夕至五四时期是章回体长篇小说的衰变时期。

Formation and evolution of ancient couplet novel

The couplet form is the main one which was used by the novel in the ancient times of China.Its evoluation of formation and development is approximately divided into five stages:Three Dynasties of Tang,Song and Yuan are the breeding time of the couplet novel;The last stage of Yuan and the beginnin g of Ming is the formation time of the couplet novel;The medium term and the later period of Ming is the development time of it;The early days and the middle period of Ming is the peak time;The Opium War Eve to May 4th Movement is the decay time.
