E-R model for spatial database of land reclamation of mining area

The land reclamation of mining area is a complicated system project. When establishing the land reclamation information system of mining area, the conceptual model is essential and the E-R model is an effective method to construct the conceptual model of database. It has been applied widely in the requirement analysis and design of conceptual model in GIS. The authors modify and extend the E-R model, develop a spatial E-R model suitable for describing the characteristics of the data of land reclamation of mining area based on the related study results and combining the characteristics of the data of land reclamation of mining area. The method provides a solid basis for the development of logical model and physical model for land reclamation information system of mining areas.
