简论南宋杭州的相扑运动

南宋时期，经济发达，都市繁华，国都杭州的体育活动空前发展，其中最为盛行的是相扑运动。当时的相扑运动分“官方”和“瓦市”两个方面，技艺水平之高、参加人数之多，均为历史罕见。促使相扑运动发展的主要原因，一是宋代上承大唐体育之遗风，二是北宋南渡把北方的尚武风气带到南方，南北体育文化得到溶合统一．
