| Abstract: | Summary The ingestion of 2 different water loads (7.5 and 15 ml/kg) by healthy subjects stimulated the release of plasma motilin, gastrin, pancreatic polypeptide and VIP. Atropine was found to block the release of PP but not the other hormones.This work was made possible by generous grants by the Wellcome Trust and Medical Research Council. |
