Abstract: | Quantitative structure activity relationships suggest that the binding of quinoline and phenanthroline analogs to D-lactate dehydrogenase from the barnacle, Balanus nubilus Darwin, does not involve primarily hydrophobic effects. This phenomenon appears to exist also for other lactate dehydrogenases. |
