Abstract:The explants from hyper-hypo cotyls, real leaves of Phaseolus radiatus L. and hypercotyls, real leaves, cotyledons of Phaseolus angularis W. were induced to produce hairy roots after being infected by A. rhizogenes with its Ri plasmid to perform genetic transformation by two ways: needle stabbing and epidermal tearing up. The results showed that the root-induced properity of A. rhizogenes is connected not only with receptor plants,but also with different organs. To the same organ, there clearly exists situation effect. All of these characters may result from the polarity of auxin transport.
