| Abstract: | Based on the test results of thirty-one reinforced concrete members under combined compression and torsion, this paper discusses the failure mechanism and influence factors of the strength of these members. This paper also advances a formula for estimating the torsional strength and restrictive condition of the member's section which is acknowledged by new code for concrete structures of China (GBJ10-89). |
