Abstract:Air coefficients on the bottom of the packing are successfully tested with a new counter model cooling lower. The model cooling tower can divide the whole cooling effect into two parts:the cooling effect of the packing itself and of its end height. As the result,we are able to get the thermal function of the packing and its end height. After researching the influ-ence of the different end heights on the thermal funcition of a cooling tower,we draw a conclusion that the percent of the transfer units number of the end height in the whole transfer units number of a cooling tower tends to a certain constant after the end height reaches a certain number.
