Metaphorical form and congruent form are two key concepts in the theory of grammatical metaphor which refers to the transference of grammatical categories that convey the same meaning.Many metaphorical forms are similar to the non-categorized verbs in the prototype theory of cognitive linguistics,while congruent forms are identical to the best representatives of the prototypes.
