| 摘 要： | "战国"一词始见于《管子》,其本义并非"时代名",而是"军事强国"或"能战之国"之意。西汉刘向编定《战国策》,"战国"一词始有"时代名"义项。其后,"能战之国"和"时代名"两个义项同时存在,各为所用。至隋、唐间,作为"时代名"义项逐渐成为释"战国"一词的主要义项。

| Abstract: | The term, "The Warring States", is first seen in The Guan Zi. Its original meaning was not "period", but "militarily powerful country" or "valiant fighting country". According to Strategies of the warring States Period by Liu Xiang, it obtained the referential meaning for "period" in the Western Han Dynasty Afterwards, it both means "valiant fighting country" and "period". Till the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the meaning of "period" became more popular. |
