摘    要:针对低温电工绝缘的实际应用和低温电老化机理的探讨,通过针尖电极试验,着重研究了超高分子量聚乙烯的特性;并将它与交联聚乙烯、低密度聚乙烯做了对比。结果表明,机械应力下疲劳强度的劣化是低温电树枝化的重要因素。超高分子量聚乙烯具有低温性能好。不会开裂,适用于低温电工绝缘的特点。

Abstract:: With regard to the practical application and the ageing mechanism of polymer insulation at cryogenic temperature, the electrical tree initiation and growth of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) at 77 K and room temperature are investigated in comparison with those of XLPE or LDPE. The test results with the needle-plane electrode system under ac voltage at 77 K indicate that the fatigue break in UHMW-PE under mechanical forces during the electrical treeing is a critical factor. Owing to its excellent cryogenic properties, only UHMWPE does not crack during the test. It is a good material for the electrical insulation at cryogenic temperature.
