Abstract:In this paper a new colour reagent Dibromo-Chloro-arsenazo (DBC) for the spectrophotometric determination of thorium was investigated. It has been found that Th-DBC. Complex is stable, rapid developing, high sensitive and selective. In our experiment, ion exchange chromatography was used for separation and successive determination of thorium and light rare-earth in Rare-Earth ore. The results obtained were satisfactory.
